Feeding: Flakes and tablets that sink. Omnivorous.
Social Behaviour: A predator that isn't suited for a community tank. Best kept alone or with other large fish.


Up Keep: Keep in a large aquarium with plastic or very hardy plants.
Breeding: Not accomplished in an aquarium. Pair will dig a hole in the bottom where eggs are laid and guarded by the male.
Comments: This fish can get very large and is not well suited for an aquarium. Can be kept in large aquariums and ponds where water stays at about room temperature. Not a community fish.
