Sex: Male is a dark brown color with light colored stripes and female is yellow with brown stripes.
Feeding: Feed them algae and a variety commercially prepared aquarium foods.
Social Behaviour: A very active, aggressive and territorial fish. Best kept with it's own kind or other larger aggressive fish.


Up Keep: Aquarium should have rock caves and passageways. One male to several females is recommended.
Breeding: Spawning will take place in the male's chosen territory. After spawning the female and brood could be removed to a secluded aquarium. Feed the fry baby brine shrimp and crushed flakes
