Cardinal Tetra

Cardinal Tetra
Cheirodon Axeirodii

Length: 2.0"
Sex: Females have larger, fuller bodies.
Feeding: Will eat a wide variety of food and should have flakes and live foods in their diet.
Social Behaviour: Active schooling and great community fish. Recommended to have 10 or more.

Up Keep: Tank should have an established bio filter before adding any Cardinal Tetra. They actively swim in schools and should have open spaces with planted areas to hide in.
Breeding: To induce spawning use soft water with subdued lighting. Prefers to spawn in the evening. After spawning, remove the adults.
Comments: Another very popular fish. Large schools of these fish can look great in any aquarium. They will not do well in poor water conditions and regular water changes are a must when keeping these fish.
